In order to see one, you must be able to see the other.
Perspective.
Many of us can't see the forest for the trees. And many of us forget that each tree is different, full of mystery. Each one has a story of its own...you just have to remember to listen in order to hear it, to ask to hear it, to be able to hear it.
It's up to us to remember to see both priceless, one of a kind, and powerful perspectives.
In my experience, getting stuck in one, leads to frustration, unhappiness and teeters on craziness.
Let's all help each other to see both the bristly needles on a tree, as well as dancing horizons full of clouds and mountains, water and trees.

Seriously (and this is just my biased projection of your thoughts), it is very sad to see the "flower child" generation grow older and grow bitter and be constantly spitting venom like "Young people are the problem!" "This agency was a great place to work from 1969-1992....when your Slacker Generation started getting into the workplace."
It's really deflating, and I start to find myself a little biased.....against the old, the entrenched, the reverend minds of the left, of the environment....all of them, because they only see the value of future generations as reflected through their own lives and the paths that they deemed best for them.
